Homestay Period
Standard Fees represent the regular "Homestay Period," as follows:
- Full Year: August 25 to June 30
- First Semester: August 25 to January 31
- Second Semester: January 25 to June 30
Any extra nights outside of these dates will incur additional nightly fees; to be invoiced in advance where possible or deducted from the Refundable Security Deposit if necessary.
Unless itemized as Optional Fees, the Standard Fees include registration, orientation, homestay host allowance, custodianship registration, student monitoring, 24/7 emergency support, and airport pickup and return. A complete list of services is available on request..
Undisclosed medication and health issues (physical and mental) are subject to a $500 penalty.
CHN reserves the discretion to raise fees when the Canadian CPI in January of the rate year is more than 3% higher than in January of the year the rates were set.
Payments and Host Profiles
Host Profiles will be sent as follows:
- Fall Semester: no later than June 30, as long as payment has been received by May 31
- Winter Semester: no later than November 30, as long as payment has been received by October 31
For applications submitted after the above payment deadlines, host profiles will be sent 31 days following receipt of payment to CHN. Note that early applications will be given priority.
Monitoring Reports
Monitoring Reports are sent for AYP students under 18 y.o. for whom CHN is Custodian by the following dates:
- Fall Semester: December 1
- Winter Semester: May 1
